GUIDE

Social media on autopilot, without losing control

Last updated

Short answer

To run social media on autopilot with AI, give an agent your brand voice, connect it to a scheduler over MCP or an API, and keep one human step: approving each post. The agent drafts and schedules; the scheduler publishes once per channel and confirms each post is live. Full autonomy without approval is what gets brands in trouble.

The five-step setup

  1. 1Write a voice profile: a one-paragraph summary of how the brand sounds, do and don't rules, words you never use, and a few example posts.
  2. 2Connect the channels you post to (Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord and others take a token or a sign-in).
  3. 3Create an Agent API key so the agent can draft and schedule but not approve.
  4. 4Connect your agent: Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client to the MCP server, or ChatGPT through a GPT action.
  5. 5Approve from the queue. Approved posts go out at their time, once per channel, and are read back to confirm they're live.

What to automate and what to keep

  • Automate: turning release notes, blog posts or events into channel-sized posts; scheduling across time zones; reformatting per channel limits.
  • Keep human: the final yes, replies to people, anything about incidents, pricing or legal topics.
  • Check weekly: which posts you sent back and why, then update the voice profile so the agent stops repeating the mistake.

Why 'autopilot' still needs an approval step

Models are fluent but not accountable. An approval queue costs a few seconds per post and catches wrong dates, invented facts and off-brand jokes before they're public. In Mynahcast the gate is enforced by the server: approval decisions from agents are refused, so a prompt can't talk its way past it.

Frequently asked questions

Can AI fully automate social media posting?
Technically yes, but brands that care about accuracy keep one human approval per post. Mynahcast is designed so the agent does everything except approve.
Which AI agent is best for running social media?
Any capable agent works if it can reach a scheduler. Claude Code, Cursor and Codex connect over MCP; ChatGPT through a GPT action. Pick the one you already use for the work the posts come from.
