Short answer

Instead of integrating every network's API, an agent can call one social media API. Mynahcast's REST API (OpenAPI at https://api.mynahcast.xyz/v1/openapi.json) and MCP server publish one post to many channels, check each channel's limits first, never post twice on a retry, and read every post back to confirm it is live. 13 channels are live today.

Why agents need more than the raw platform APIs

Each network has its own auth, character limits, media rules and failure modes. An agent calling them directly has to handle all of it, and a timeout halfway through a request leaves it guessing whether the post went out. Retrying can double-post; not retrying can drop it.

A posting API built for agents takes that off the agent: one schema for every channel, validation before anything is saved, an Idempotency-Key so retries are safe, and a per-channel delivery state the agent can read back.
