Brand & voice
Everything in Mynahcast belongs to a brand: its channels, its posts, its approval rules and its voice. Your first brand is created when you sign up. Each brand has a name and a timezone; scheduled times are shown in the brand's timezone.
The voice profile
A voice profile is the brief every agent writes from. It has:
- summary: who you are and how you sound, up to 1,000 characters;
- doRules and dontRules: up to 25 short rules each;
- bannedTerms: up to 100 words or phrases you never use;
- examples: up to 20 real posts, optionally tagged with the channel they were written for.
Profiles are versioned. Each update publishes a new version; the old ones are kept.
Reading and updating it
Agents read the active profile with mynahcast_get_brand_voice (MCP) or GET /v1/brands/{brandId}/voice. Updating needs the voice:write scope, which the Publisher key preset has and the Agent preset doesn't.
curl -X PUT "https://api.mynahcast.xyz/v1/brands/<brand-uuid>/voice" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $MYNAHCAST_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"summary": "A neighbourhood bakery. Warm, short, never salesy.",
"doRules": ["Say what is in the oven today"],
"dontRules": ["No exclamation marks"],
"bannedTerms": ["artisanal"],
"examples": [{ "text": "Rye is back on Thursday. Come early." }]
}'Add ?dry_run=true to preview the new version without saving it.
A voice editor in the app's Settings is on the way. Until then, set the profile through the API or ask an agent that has a publisher key.
